Shaw CyBears take home the win!

Shaw Cyber(bear)security researchers participated in a Capture the Flag competition hosted by North Carolina A&T State University Saturday March 26 where they faced off against teams of students from other institutions. Maurille Beheton (CS 24') came in first place overall with team of Matthew Carby (CS 25') and Marc Brown (CS 25') placing second for college teams and third overall.

During the event players earned "flags" that are hidden throughout purposefully-vulnerable programs and websites with points awarded in a jeopardy style format based on the types and number of flags earned. The event winners also received AirPods, Sony Bluetooth Headphones, and Echo Dot Speakers.

Hopefully, our CyBears will continue to show off their abilities and make a name for themselves in future competitions!
